Official tasting notes:
Nose – Rhubarb and custard, stewed red fruits, blackberries and ginger. Strawberry & cream boiled sweets and notes of barley sugar.
Palate – Barley water, summer berries and red apples. Peat embers, goat’s cheese and black tea
Finish – Becomes fairly dry with coastal notes and billowing peat. Rosemary and thyme focaccia with added leather.

Bottling Notes
Part of the Longrow Red series that features heavily peated malt from Springbank distillery aged in varying red wine barrels, this current release is a 13-year-old Single Malt that has been matured in Bourbon and refill sherry hogshead for 10 years before been finished for 3 years in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The particular Cab Sav casks used were sourced from Mont Gras’ Intriga Estate in Alto Maipo, located at the foot of the Andes in Chile.
Limited to just 9,000 bottles worldwide, this single malt from the oldest operational distillery in Campbeltown is bottled at 51.6% ABV.
