That Boutique-y Whisky Company ‘Glenrothes Distillery’ Cask Strength 12 Year Old 500ml 53.1%
Oloroso finish – Batch No.11 in TBWC ‘Top Notch Scotch’ series that yielded 516 bottles.
Cask type: Sherry finish
Distilled: Glenrothes distillery
Release Date: 2022 (AU)
This Glenrothes 12-year-old cask strength bottled by the Boutique-y brood is their 11th batch that was finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The label is a homage to the numerous ghost stories that take place at the distillery. Having the Rothes Cemetery right next door only adds to the mystique we guess, at least the ghouls will be happily inebriated…… as long as they’re not angry drunks. 😉
About Glenrothes Distillery;
The Glenrothes distillery was founded in 1878 by James Stuart & Co and is located in Scotland, beside the Burn of Rothes in the Speyside region. The Glenrothes is often used in blended scotch whiskies such as Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse and is owned by Edrington. The water used in the process of making Glenrothes comes from two natural springs, the Ardcanny and the Brauchhill, just a couple of miles upstream. The Glenrothes is mainly matured in Spanish ex-Sherry casks, and some ex-Bourbon casks.
