The Macallan Gran Reserva 15 Years Old was only made available through an exclusive ballot from Macallan’s Online Shop. It has been bottled and released at 15 years old for the first time, matured predominantly in first-fill sherry seasoned European oak casks.
The maturing spirit then remains undisturbed for a full 15 years inside these carefully sourced, hand-picked casks of toasted and seasoned oak resulting in a rich and alluring spirit that imparts lingering flavours of chocolate, winter spice and orange. With only 1500 bottles ever to be available, we managed to secure a small consignment so be amongst the first to have a chance to own this exclusive release.
NOSE: Rich dried fruit, warm winter spices, orange and dark chocolate, underlying oak notes.
PALATE: An explosion of spice with soft notes of rich fruit, lingering orange and oak.
FINISH: Complex and long. Wood and warm spices harmoniously combine with dark chocolate and orange.
