This latest release from the Macallan is part of their elegant Triple Cask range which replaced the Fine Oak expressions in mid-2018 with this 18-year-old being the pinnacle of the range.
This time round, the Macallan have used a trinity of spirits, matured individually in sherry seasoned European oak, sherry seasoned American oak and ex-bourbon American oak casks, all expertly married together to create an unrivalled single malt whisky with orange chocolate, dried fruit and wood spice.
