We’re delighted to have secured a consignment of The Macallan Edition No.1 bottling. Unavailable in Australia and sold out worldwide – This is the first in a series of NAS (no age statement) annual limited releases showcasing The Macallan’s skill and expertise in selecting and maturing their precious spirit in the very best oak casks that was released in 2015.

Bob Dalgarno (Master Whisky Maker) has drawn the perfect quantity of whisky from eight European and American cask styles selected for their unique characteristics. The result is an intriguing, multi-dimensional single malt whisky beginning light and soft and finishing rich and dark taking the palate on a surprising and satisfying journey.

Exceptional oak casks contribute at least 80% of the character of the Edition No.1 with the spirit and sherry seasoning fulfilling the remaining 15% and 5% respectively. Each cask style imparts a specific influence, as does the variety of cask sizes – a combination of puncheons, hogsheads and butts.
