We’re absolutely elated to have part of the new range of the Macallan Exceptional Cask Collection in our ever-growing whisky portfolio. Bottled in 2017 in very limited quantities, only a handful of bottles were allocated for Australia and the quality and rarity of these exceptional casks have seen whisky enthusiast flock to auction houses around the world in droves to own a piece of the Macallan royalty. They are basically unattainable.
This range takes its name from a number of single cask bottlings Macallan released during the 1990s which are often described as some of ‘the greatest Macallan of them all’ and here we have bottle number 2 in the series of 7 bottles. Matured in a European oak sherry-butt for just under 13 years and yielding only 298 bottles, this expression is definitely an investment grade whisky that has the potential to appreciate nicely over time.
