Official tasting notes.
Very raisiny with dried plums, but also markedly oaky, with balsamic notes of sawmill and resin. The initial attack on the palate may seem sweet, but it’s not exactly so: it’s more rich, chewy and juicy than actually sweet, and at the same very toasted. There’s cooked brown sugar, toffee, dark chocolate… but also a slightly tarry note. Quite oaky, too, and this character tends to grow more and more towards the end, especially if water is not added.

Description
A marriage of three carefully selected casks created this Speyside single malt whisky. Each vessel contributed complementary characteristics that balance sweetness with tannic (the tasty kind) complexity. The whisky developed its rich colour and distinctive taste during a 12-month finish in first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The result, we’ll leave that to you guys to discover – sooo good!
About Glenlossie Distillery
Nestled in Elgin, Morayshire, Glenlossie distillery has been crafting single malt whisky since John Duff established it in 1876. The distillery draws pure water from Bardon Burn and crafts 1.1 million litres annually. The production features an 8-tonne lauter mash tun. Three wash stills and two spirit stills complete the setup. Ten traditional dunnage warehouses store the whisky. Over 200,000 casks mature in these historic buildings. Each cask develops rich, complex flavours over time.
Interesting Fact
Glenlossie sources premium maltings from Burghead Maltings in Elgin. This industrial facility uses gentle peat during malting. The result? A viscous whisky that brims with delicate smoke.
