Official tasting notes.
Nose: Delicate notes of butter pastries and raisins, with a touch of caramel, peaches and apricots. It’s not markedly winey or heavy, though.
Palate: The soft goodness of the PX, but without sugary excesses. Raisins, dried plums, but also a pleasant touch of acidity: it’s fruity, appetizing, but not cloying. It remains on a light playful style, before the pepperiness and spicy blast of the tannins kick in.
Finish: You can feel the sweetness increasing, with a honeyed and slightly toasted touch.

Description
A finish for 30 months in first fill Pedro Ximenez might seem quite long, but the key to subtlety here was in the use of a butt: a large format vessel (475-500 litres) that imparts a slower and more gradual influence from the sherry. The result is a mature, fruity and rich whisky with breathtaking balance at a fantastic price point.
About Glenlossie Distillery
Nestled in Elgin, Morayshire, Glenlossie distillery has been crafting single malt whisky since John Duff established it in 1876. The distillery draws pure water from Bardon Burn and crafts 1.1 million litres annually. The production features an 8-tonne lauter mash tun. Three wash stills and two spirit stills complete the setup. Ten traditional dunnage warehouses store the whisky. Over 200,000 casks mature in these historic buildings. Each cask develops rich, complex flavours over time.
Interesting Fact
Glenlossie sources premium maltings from Burghead Maltings in Elgin. This industrial facility uses gentle peat during malting. The result? A viscous whisky that brims with delicate smoke.
