Official tasting notes.
Nose: A light touch of raisins, only slightly winey, with an aromatic and deep note of herbs and old books.
Palate: Velvety and full bodied. The balance between the honey and plums sweetness, the oak and the minerality is perfect: extremely cohesive. Chewy and rich, but also very smooth and fresh. It grows slightly more tannic and peppery only in the finale.

Description
This delightful Speyside malt was finished for 30 months in premium first-fill Pedro Ximenez butts. These carefully selected casks enriched the whisky with just the right amount of balanced, fruity richness and complexity. The spirit maintains its authentic whisky character while gaining subtle sherry influences that enhance rather than overpower the dram.
With owner Fabio Rossi commenting;
“This is one of the most balanced finishes that we have ever made, in which all the components are perfectly integrated”.
About Glen Elgin distillery.
Glen Elgin Distillery operates in Speyside’s Rothes Glen and has been crafting whisky since the 1900’s. Where many distilleries failed during the industry’s turbulent early years, Glen Elgin didn’t only survive, it thrived. What makes Glen Elgin whisky special in our opinion? It delivers classic honeyed, fruity Speyside character.
Traditional wooden washbacks ferment the whisky and worm tub condensers cool the spirit. This unassuming distillery creates whisky using old-school Speyside methods. As AI and automation reshape our world, there’s something comforting about distilleries that still champion authenticity over efficiency.
