“The aroma at the nose is bewildering: tropical fruits (especially pineapple and passion fruit), beeswax, wood polish, chamomile, honey, bergamot, and an intensely estery note which is reminiscent of the funkiness of the wildest sugarcane spirits from the Caribbean.
It’s just as rich, fat and intense at the palate: concentrated, very waxy, full of balsamic notes but also very mineral, honeyed and rich with pineapples and bananas. You can add a bit of water to tame it, but the juiciness doesn’t make it mandatory. The finale is particularly spicy, with sweet cinnamon butter pastries and dark chocolate.”
