Official tasting notes.
“On the nose it’s very malty, sweet, with plenty of fragrant notes of honey, beeswax, chamomile flowers, spring meadows and hay: a very fresh, sunny profile, with an obviously old-fashioned style. It’s clearly spirit-driven, and the oak doesn’t overpower the delicate flavours.
The palate’s long cask influence becomes more noticeable: there is a note of freshly sawn wood, but on the whole it’s sweet, very smooth and chewy, again with rich notes of honey and cereals, flour, a hint of overripe fruits, plus a slightly balsamic herbal note and a certain flowery fragrance. The same delicate profile is followed to the end: warm, smooth, with just a hint of velvety tannin”.
