A Historic Milestone Bottle
This 10yo marks a significant milestone in the history of the distillery with their first permanent age-statement release. Wolfburn presents their inaugural core age-statement expression as a single malt matured solely second-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads for a whole decade. It weighs in at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.

The Cask: What is an Oloroso Sherry Cask?
The whisky is matured in second-fill Oloroso Sherry casks means the casks previously held Oloroso sherry (a rich, dry, nutty Spanish sherry style), and had already been used once for whisky maturation before. This “second-fill” approach imparts a more restrained sherry influence compared to first-fill casks, allowing the distillery’s house spirit character to still shine through rather than being overwhelmed.

How It Drinks
Reviews described it as a classic, well-balanced single malt that presents as neither an overwhelming “sherry bomb” nor a light dram, just a nicely integrated profile. They noted it drinks a lot like an unpeated Highland Park 12, carrying familiar malty and fruity notes without any smoke, offering an all-round flavour profile.
