House Tully – Singleton of Glendullan Select – 750ml 40%
“FAMILY, DUTY, HONOUR”
This offering represents House Tully located at Riverrun, spanning the junction of the Red Fork of the Trident and the Tumblestone River, ruling as Lord of The Riverlands. The power of water that flows through House Tully also flows along Glendullan as it peacefully makes whisky on the banks of the River Fiddich in the wooded hills of Dufftown. Here they harnessed the water that flows through the land utilizing a water wheel to power the entire distillery.
The Glendullan is embellished with a leaping trout flashing above rushing water, the sigil of House Tully and is a must-have collectible for Game of Thrones fans and all you whisky Lords alike to toast the final season of a show that changed the television landscape forever. With notes of fresh apple, honeycomb and vanilla slice, hopefully the Tully’s can stay sober enough to avoid another Red Wedding bedding.
House Stark – Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost – 750ml 40%
“WINTER IS COMING”
Dalwhinnie, known for being one of the highest distilleries in all of Scotland and is cold and remote much like Winterfell in the North where House Stark calls home, making the two a natural pairing. Extreme conditions are responsible for shaping the signature Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost which is best served straight from the freezer revealing honeyed sweetness and spice.
Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost is decorated with a Direwolf, the sigil of House Stark and the protector of the Stark children. Enjoy this spicy beast in moderation and don’t lose your head in the process. 😉
House Lannister – Lagavulin 9-Year-Old – 750ml 46%
“HEAR ME ROAR”
Lagavulin is a legendary single malt brand, crafted on the shores of Islay for more than 200 years and is the perfect choice to pair with House Lannister, mirroring the fastidious chutzpah and voracious intent employed by the Lannister’s in their quest to conquer the Iron Throne, albeit without the betrayal, pyromania, bloody decapitations and public floggings. Shame… Shame… Shame… hehe!
The Lagavulin 9-year-old is adorned with the clawing Lion, the sigil of House Lannister and is best served neat while you toast the final season of a show that changed the television landscape forever. We’re all barracking for Tyrion to end up on the Iron Throne – nothing but good times and debauched, orgy-esque extravagance across the Seven Kingdoms. Who’s with us? 😊
House Targaryen – Cardhu Gold Reserve – 750ml 40%
“FIRE AND BLOOD”
It’s only fitting that this offering of Cardhu Gold Reserve be paired with House Targaryen of Dragonstone as Daenerys Targaryen and Helen Cumming (along with her daughter-in-law Elizabeth) share many common qualities being fierce female leaders with unwavering perseverance in male dominated worlds. The Cardhu Distillery was pioneered by Helen and Elizabeth during the 1800’s
and we’ve all learnt by now, to both fear and adore the destructive power of our favourite Mother of Dragons. 😉
The Cardhu Gold Reserve is decorated with a three headed Dragon, the sigil of House Targaryen and is a must-have collectible for Game of Thrones fans and Khaleesi devotee’s alike to toast the final season of a show that changed the television landscape forever.
House Greyjoy – Talisker Select Reserve – 750ml 45.8%
“WE DO NOT SOW”
Talisker is a natural pair for House Greyjoy as this single malt is distilled on the shores of the Isle of Skye, one of the most remote and rugged areas of Scotland which bares many similarities to the harsh, windswept Iron Islands off the west coast of Westeros where the Ironborn make their home.
The Talisker Select Reserve is embellished with the Kraken (a giant, mythical sea creature), the sigil of House Greyjoy and its signature maritime character is the result of the windswept landscapes and wave-battered shores where it’s quietly rested, resulting in a powerful and smoky single malt straight from the depths of the Drowned God himself. 😉
House Baratheon – Royal Lochnager 12-Year-Old – 750ml 40%
“OURS IS THE FURY’
Royal lineage drives the iconic allegiance between House Baratheon and Royal Lochnagar. Similar to Robert Baratheon ruling the Seven Kingdoms upon the Iron Throne, Royal Lochnagar, originally called New Lochnager was deemed a whisky worthy of a royal family and was renamed after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert visited the distillery in 1848 granting the landmark a Royal Warrant.
Royal Lochnager 12-year-old is decorated with a rampant black Stag, the sigil of House Baratheon that once flew on banners above the Stormlands and King’s Landing signifying absolute power. It’s the perfect balance of delicate fruits and subtle oak more than fitting for a Mad King on drunken hunting expedition.
House Tyrell – Clynelish Reserve – 750ml 51.2%
“GROWING STRONG”
House Tyrell of Highgarden rules over the Reach, a vast and fertile region of Westeros. Like the Reach, Clynelish is surrounded among rolling hills and lush pastures in the Scottish Highlands, with scenic views of the North Sea. It’s these similar surrounding that make the two an ideal pairing in the magical new world of Scotch Whisky and Westeros.
Clynelish Reserve is adorned with a striking Rose, the sigil of House Tyrell and is a vibrant and floral whisky. But don’t underestimate the underlying complexity and maritime qualities of this 51.2%alc beast or you just might end up surrounded by wildfire in the Great Sept of Baelor.
The Night’s Watch – Oban Bay Reserve – 750ml 43%
“NIGHT GATHERS, AND NOW MY WAYCH BEGINS”
The Oban distillery sits beneath the shadows of a steep cliff that overlooks the bay between the west Highlands and the Islands of Scotland that separates land and sea and shares a similar natural landscape with Castle Black, home of The Night’s Watch, which sits ominously between Westeros and the vast lands beyond The Wall.
Dark and seductive, the ancient rule commands you to read the vow of the Night’s Watch, written on the back of the bottle. To be the: “sword in the darkness, the watcher on the wall and the shield that guards the realms of men, for this night and all the nights to come”
The Night’s Watch, Oban Bay Reserve is by far the rarest of the eight limited-edition scotch whiskies in the Game of Thrones series, (almost as rare as Jon Snow’s virginity – cough… cough…) and will be available on our virtual shelves in a few weeks.
