American Whiskey and Bourbon is becoming more and more popular in Australia. Outside of the US, Australia drinks the most Whiskey and Bourbon in the world. The Old Barrelhouse has highly sought-after brands such as Rare Charachter, George T Stagg, Woodford Reserve, Angels Envy, Old Forester and many more.

American Whiskey and Bourbon must be created in the US. Bourbon Whiskey must be made of at least 51% corn, providing a sweet flavour profile. Other grains can be used like rye (which give it a spicy flavour), wheat and barley.  American Whiskey has very particular restrictions. It must be aged in virgin oak casks, not exceed 80% at the time of distillation and not exceed 62.5% at the beginning of maturation.
