Each year, Booker’s release a series of bottlings that celebrate the life of founder and former master distiller Booker Noe. The latest of these, “Backyard BBQ,” explores his love for hosting cookouts in his backyard. It follows on the heels of “Kathleen’s Batch” from earlier this year and is the second of four batches planned for release in 2018.

The barrel strength bourbon comes in at 64.4% ABV (128.8 proof) with the barrels pulled from six locations in three different 9-story warehouses. This uncut and unfiltered expression highlights the large ‘Bourbon-ques’ (BBQ’s 😉) Booker once held at his home in Bardstown, Kentucky, which brought together friends, family and distillery employees for an afternoon of Bourbon drinking and meat consumption. It’s a tradition that continues today, by his son and current Beam master distiller Fred Noe.
