Producer’s tasting notes:
Nose: Heavy with rich dried fruit, hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa. Faint vanilla and tobacco spice.
Taste: Rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon and cocoa. Toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes abound.
Finish: Silky smooth, almost creamy at first with a long, warm satisfying tail.

Bottling Notes
This is Woodford Reserve’s annual 2018 holiday bottle that features a snowy distillery scene on the front label. The bottle artwork is titled ‘Winter Spirit’ and was created by painter Lynn Dunbar of Louisville, Kentucky. It features snow-covered bourbon barrels and the Scale House, a national, historic landmark where bourbon distilling first started in 1812. The Scale House is one of several historic properties on the distillery grounds in Woodford County, Kentucky.
The higher percentage alcohol than the regular Woodford expression and the 1 litre size makes this limited-edition release very collectable amongst bourbon collectors, not to mentioned a beautifully balanced and spicy bourbon whiskey.
