Be the first to own a piece of Mudgee whisky making history with the 1st ever release of Lachlan single malt whisky (cask strength) from the Baker Williams distillery located in Mudgee, NSW. With only 99 bottles released – this inaugural expression is sure to sell out so don’t miss out.
Coming in at a cask strength of 66.8%alc, The Lachlan was matured in a 100L port cask and named in honour of Helen and Nathan’s first born with each bottle hand numbered, dated and signed by the distiller. The Distillers comments:
“Barley, Wheat and Rye malts have delivered a dry, crisp whisky, combined with beautiful nuances from its 100 litre ex-Port cask, this is a whisky to sip, savour and reflect good times & great company”.
NOSE: A sweet delight! Lashings of honey followed by vanilla toffee, white chocolate and cinnamon – Summer flowers shining through around the edges.
PALATE: Packs quite the punch. Dry with lots of spice on the tongue, more honey – butterscotch, leading to oak and distant leather with a white chocolate crescendo.
FINISH: The cask strength works best on the long and spicy finish.
