This cask-strength rye expression from Belgrove was matured in the Heartwood ex-sherry barrel that produced the legendary Heartwood ‘Release the Beast’ whisky (an icon of Aussie whisky).
Owner and distiller of Belgrove, Peter Bignell received the barrel and then worked his magic producing an incredible paddock-to-bottle rye whisky that has virtually sold out Australia wide.

Bottled on the 24th of May 2018, not many of these beauties made it to the mainland making it a rare beast indeed. 😉
