On the nose you get a hint of peat, loads of vanilla, and a leathery smell which beguiles its age. The palate is bold, oily and chewy. Honey clearly shines through, with a more subtle peppery spice on the finish. This whisky truly is liquid gold.

Liquid Gold is the second release from the team at ‘Ambassador Whisky’ that is made up of two couples based in NSW who share an incredible passion for whisky. Their whisky is created by people who love whisky, for people who love whisky!
Bottled at a natural cask strength of 65.6% ABV, this lightly peated single cask whisky was distilled at Black Gate distillery in Mendooran, NSW and then laid to rest in a re-coopered 115L Buffalo Trace barrel for 3 years. It marks the first time Black Gate has ever used a bourbon cask for maturation and reviews so far have been overwhelmingly positive.
Our friends at Ambassador Whisky sent a small allocation our way and with only 62 bottles available, it won’t be long till this expression is completely sold out.
