This expression from the dynamic minds of Brian and Genise Hollingworth (Owners & Distillers at Black Gate Distillery) is their first peated whisky release and was bottled straight from a sherry cask at 63.6%alc after resting for a little over two years.

We had the pleasure of recently meeting Brian and Genise at the 2018 Sydney whisky fair where they poured us a few drams and spoke us through the process. The passion for their craft and straight-shooting style is absolutely reflected in their whisky and this young, peated expression hits the mark in a big way. Rich and intense with a smokey kick!

There’s no doubting the collector appeal here as it’s certain to be a sell-out, but we’d like to imagine this one been savoured for what’s inside the bottle.
