We’re proud to announce that the owners of Cradle Mountain Distillery have given us access to their precious ‘uisce beatha’ directly from their Family Stock Collection to promote and sell. You will not find these whiskies on any other online platform other than the Cradle Mountain website (sold out) and our virtual shelves as all Cradle Mountain whisky releases sell out to their very successful ‘members only’ blue print. The idea is to get their whisky on to the palates of as many whisky enthusiasts as possible and we’re excited to play our part in making this happen.
This ‘Long Treck’ expression was created with Macquarie barley and pure, Cradle Mountain spring water. The whisky was aged in New American Oak influenced with a light charr and then bottled; non-chill filtered at a delectable 57% ABV. The bottle is as visually stunning as the whisky is delightful with a clear mold of the Cradle Mountain vista built inside the bottle in 3D, making the expression a unique 600ml in volume.
The distillery says it best:
“The Long Trek, celebrates our 30 years of whisky-making in Tasmania, Australia. It has been a long trek indeed, with many changes occurring since the distillery’s conception in 1989. The Long Trek 30 Year Anniversary pays homage to those before us who took on the challenge of creating Tasmania’s first whisky. It is with this pedigree that we will continue to make Tasmania’s finest whisky.
The Long Trek is aged in unique Sol’lahra casks, designed by the Lahra family. The innovative stave combinations of these handcrafted casks create unrivalled flavour complexity and a profound mosaic of aromas”
