Official tasting notes: Tom Ambroz, Head Distiller.
“Lovely, warm and approachable, the nose is bright and fruity. Apera casks lend flavours such as raisin, date, fig. The oak influence is prominent, providing spice on the palate, cinnamon, clove, cardamom. The finish is lengthy and sweet, with lingering Christmas pudding flavour.”

Description
This whisky began its life being filled by Damien and Chris at Launceston Distillery, then it was put into a shipping container and sent away on the high seas to Flinders Island, where it completed its maturation in 5 x French oak ex-Apera casks in the newly build Furneaux Distillery. The whisky was then decanted, diluted, bottled and sold by the then newly appointed Head Distiller, Tom Ambroz.
Tom comments;
“Our second ever whisky release, and an absolutely iconic Tasmanian style. It’s this type of whisky that put Tasmania on the map as a world class whisky producing region, alongside Japan with some of the most smooth, soft honey single malts ever made.
