Our tasting notes.
Nose: A fruit-built roadhouse of plums, figs and raisins with vanilla toast and caramel backup dancers while dark chocolate and orange zest make welcome cameos.
Palate: Smooth operator! Port-influenced stone fruits slide in with Christmas cake and honey for a flavour mosh pit. Cinnamon and nutmeg bring the spice while cacao drops some bitter bass notes.
Finish: The afterparty lingers! Sweet dried fruits and oak tannins strum along nicely leaving you reaching for another glass because FOMO is real.

Description:
Tim Duckett is at his facetious best with this release paying homage to the debacle around the newly completed Tassie ferry, ‘Tasmanian Spirit’, that’s been parked in Leith, a Port in Scotland indefinitely at an average weekly rental cost of $23,915, including $380,000 in crew costs, while vital infrastructure in Devonport, Tasmania is completed to birth the ferry.
The whisky is also a huge Port bomb and the typical Duckett cask composition is as follows: P/2 = p +p + T (P =220l Port; p=100l Port; T = Time). So, double port maturation in a 220L Port cask and a 100L Port cask, married together and given Time to hit the sweet spot.
