Description:
The Beagle 11’s “Origin of Species” as owner and independent bottler Tim Duckett likes to call it has a “muscat base acquiring genes from peat, sherry and port”. “Desert in a glass”. The whisky’s front label has art imitating life, illustrating human evolution to the third last step of social distancing, the second last step of one vaccine and three boosters and the final step of cured, freedom.

The Beagle range of Heartwood whiskies pay homage to Charles Darwin’s ship that was called ‘HMS Beagle’ and his voyage of discovery and the evolution of whisky. The Voyage of the Beagle is the title most commonly given to the book he wrote and published in 1839 bringing him considerable fame and respect.
