Here’s the inaugural release of Heartwood’s New Zealand whisky collection that see’s Tim Duckett (owner of Heartwood) source new-make spirit from NZ and age it in a 50-year-old Australian Vintage Tawny cask. This is the first time Heartwood has ever aged spirit outside of Tasmania making this a real collector’s item.

“In the dark recesses of our bond store and my mind we have found port cask that is absolutely brilliant. The spirit was distilled in….wait for it….New Zealand….into a 50 yo Australian vintage port cask. Might have to call it “Port Brother from Another Mother”
