Heartwood ‘We are Brothers’ cask strength was a vatting of two casks distilled in April 2006 at Lark Distillery. The new-make spirit was then purchased by Mr H (Tim Duckett) and matured in bourbon barrels at his bond warehouse in North Hobart, Tasmania. Bottled in 2016 at 10-years-old, it’s quite the age statement for Australian whisky.
Chatting with Mr H (Tim Duckett) earlier today, he told us the name ‘We are Brothers’ is a tribute to the partner casks (LD218 and LD219) in relation to runs and barrel numbers that were filled on the same day, of similar origin. The name also pays tribute to Mr H’s family history.
This is our only bottle to sell.
