Nose: An earthy camp fire smokiness coupled with an intense salinity. Mandarin and cumquat zest creaminess meets a crossover star anise and fennel seed with touches of real Madagascan vanilla seed dark syrup
Palate: A flash of sweet citrus syrup up front with hints of dried apricot balanced with a salty sweet earthy smokiness working into fresh citrus oiliness, with a very long and oily with burst of citrus, smoke and salt finish.
Finish: Very long and oily with burst of citrus, smoke and salt

Description:
Batch #3.7 Peatera (Part 1) was released in February 2023 and consists of heavily peated spirit aged in a 100L French oak super heavy char Apera cask. Weighing in at 55% ABV, the whisky was bottled at cask strength with no added colour offering large amounts of intense flavour.
Only 70 bottles were yielded with 40 bottles making it to the Highwayman website that sold out immediately, so Dan sent a small allocation our way for our loyal supporters too.
