Description:
We’re absolutely thrilled to have the Killara distillery join our Australian whisky arsenal helmed by the unconquerable, second-generation distiller; Kristy Lark-Booth who produces single cask whisky.
The expression was aged in a 100L tawny (port) cask and finished in a delicious Laphroaig cask from Islay, Scotland adding additional layers of complexity and flavour. The whisky was bottled in October 2022, yielding 120 bottles. Bottled at cask strength, this is one big whisky and a cracking addition to the Aussie whisky landscape.

About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
