Description:
Here’s another belter from Kinglake that was initially aged for 18 months in a 200-litre American oak ex-bourbon barrel before finishing for an additional 18 months in a Tawny cask sourced from the Coriole vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The rare tawny cask chosen held Port for 35 years before been re-coopered and filled with new-make spirit at Kinglake.

The result is an extravagant three-year-old whisky that has the richness of a true vintage fortified barrel but with a vanilla and caramel twist. Starting with a larger Bourbon cask meant some of the underlying Kinglake spirit was retained and at 56% ABV, expect a punchy pour brimming with character and complexity.
