Already sold out at the distillery, this elegant whisky is non-chill filtered and matured in small French oak casks which previously held apera fortified wine (Australian-style sherry). It is a celebration of the first casks ever filled at Launceston Distillery and is destined to be very collectable.
The handcrafted, small batch whisky was made using the finest Tasmanian grown malted barley and pure South Esk river water from grain to bottle. Everything happens under the roof of the historic Hanger 17 at Launceston Airport.

Nose: An engaging fragrant aroma, with Apera influenced notes of dried fruit, spice and a hint of oak. Colour
Rich copper.
Palate: It displays a soft mouthfeel and subtle dry Fino style flavours of fruit and gentle spice.
Finish: A pleasant smooth, lingering finish
