Australian whiskies have come a long way in recent years meaning ‘peat’ is no longer synonymous with Scotch whisky. This Limeburners Peated Single Malt Whisky is made using peat collected by hand near the Valley of the Giants in the Great Southern region of WA, not far from the distillery in Albany. It’s the only whisky in the world using this peat source which gives it quite a unique flavour. Matured in ex bourbon American oak, it has no added colouring and is non-chill filtered giving way to a full-bodied taste with a smooth and smoky finish.
