Description:
Made and bottled at the Great Southern Distillery in Albany, this ‘core range’ Limeburners Port Cask is a complex and elegant single malt whisky distilled in traditional small batch copper pot stills. It’s matured in second-fill American bourbon barrels and finished in an old Australian port cask. Prior to bottling the distillery hydrates this whisky with pure water to bring it to an approachable 43%. It has no added colouring and is non-chill filtered.

Comes with un updated bespoke bottle-tin depicting the view of Princess Royal Harbour directly outside the front door of the Distillery in Albany, WA.

The Distillery comments:
“….. we utilise a solera system whereby several casks are emptied to a large holding tank and left to marry. Half of the blended batch is then sent for filtering and bottling, and the remaining half is retained and the blending tank is topped up with new barrels. Adopting this approach ensures there is a consistency of our products from batch to batch”.
