Here’s another special expression from Whisky in Isolation releasing Old Kempton distillery’s very first, rum-cask, aged whisky. The spirit spent 2 years and 9 months in a rum cask before bottling at 56% ABV. Spirit driven, this whisky benefits from plenty of time in the glass that will result in a beautiful, velvet mouth-feel.

It was initially a bourbon cask, previously containing Buffalo Trace, before making its way to Beenleigh Artisan Distillery – one of Australia’s oldest liquor brands – to age some rum. The cask finally headed to the Tasmanian Cask Company to re-cooper into a small format cask.”
