Our tasting notes
NOSE: Lush – toasted sultana bread, panned butter, a little cinnamon and virtually zero alcohol burn.
PALATE: Viscous. Soft oak and treacle followed by Sultana bran and hints of ripe peach. Not overpoweringly sweet for a muscat cask but rather controlled and delicate.
FINISH: Lingers. Baked spices start tingling with small bursts of oak and a sudden desire to match this whisky with a slice of mud cake. Surprisingly smooth for a whisky that’s just over 3 years old and at 55%abv – no real need for water with this one.
