Description:
Here’s a unique bottling of Sullivans Cove whisky that was distilled in the highly sort after (HH) ’Highland Holdings’ era of ownership in 2000. It was then laid to rest for 13 years in a French oak Port cask before being decanted in 2014 under head distiller Patrick Maguire (Tasmania Distillery).
This was the first modern version of the standard Sullivans Cove range also known as ‘4th Generation Sullivans Cove’ (2008-2016). These labels finally gave Sullivans Cove a unique identity that would become an Australian icon, and is the basis for the branding the distillery uses today.
These bottles were also the first to feature the side tag with unique cask and bottle info for each batch. At that time, the distillery was known as “Tasmania Distillery” and Sullivans Cove was just the brand name for the whisky produced there. Now both the distillery and the whisky are called Sullivans Cove, so you won’t see “Produced by Tasmania Distillery” on any rear labels of Sullivan’s Cove whisky from 2017 to today.
