Official Tasting notes:
Nose: Canned peaches, strawberry musk, passionfruit – a fruit cocktail explosion. Toffee, fresh coconut milk, apple juice, ripe banana. Black jelly beans, vanilla sponge cake. A lovely balancing herbal note, pea flowers and kampot pepper.
Palate: Thick with a nice friendly grip of American Oak. Brilliant mouthfeel and structure. An enormous character of Splice; Pine-lime and vanilla ice cream. Ripe pears, anise, liquorice, coconut and raspberry slice. Quite a strong malt base.
Finish: The Splice dream continues! Coconut water, vanilla slice, passionfruit pulp, bit of Redskin lollies and liquorice. Quite a prominent wormwood note from the oak and a strong malt character bringing it home.

Bottling Notes
This whisky spent the entirety of its fourteen and a half years maturation in a single, 300L American oak cask previously filled with an older batch of Sullivans Cove Single Malt Whisky. Bottled unflocked and unfiltered at 47.5% abv, this refill Single Cask TD0045 was distilled in October of 2005 and decanted in April 2020.
