Description:
Part of the ‘Old and Rare’ Collection which is designation reserved for the very few casks that are allowed to age for at least sixteen years that show incredible length and breadth of palate.

American Oak Old & Rare Single Cask TD0063 was filled in December 2005 and decanted in February 2022 for a maturation of 16 years and 2 months. After such a long maturation, the 300-litre American oak cask yielded 415 bottles at 48% abv. resulting in incredible texture and length of palate.

Each bottle comes in a unique, hand-made, solid walnut presentation box, and includes an information booklet and a letter of authenticity personally signed by the head distiller.

The vast majority of our whiskies hit their peak at around 10-12 years, but every once in a while, our skilled distillers identify a cask with the specific characteristics that allow for extended maturation. The result is the oldest and rarest of Australian whiskies – something only possible at Sullivans Cove as the only distillery in Australia that has been using full-sized casks since the mid-1990s.
