Aged for 9 years and 4 months in a 225 litre French oak cask previously used to mature Australian tawny port-style fortified wine, TD0403 is a classic example of the Sullivans Cove ex-Tawny style. Bottled unflocked and unfiltered at 47.5% abv, this cask produced a mere 257 bottles.

Sullivans Cove French Oak ex-Tawny has become a legend in its own right, one of the most sought-after whiskies in the world, and the bottle that put the Australian whisky industry on the map after winning World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014 and then again in 2019

Interesting fact.
The bottling code TD stands for ‘Tasmanian Distillery’ which means the whisky was distilled and filled in to barrels between 2004 and 2016 when ‘Tasmanian Distillery’ were the owners of Sullivan Cove under the watchful eye of Patrick Maguire.
