Description:
A rare, 30th Anniversary double cask release.
This expression is a marriage of eight different casks – mostly American Oak bourbon with some French Oak tawny and pinot in the mix. The oldest component was distilled in 1999 and aged for 23 years in a rebarrelled cask (MRB042), and the youngest component was distilled in 2017 and aged for 6 years in cask (SC0348). The rest of the casks are from both the Hobart Holdings era (1994-2004), and the Tasmania Distillery era (2004-2016)

Each batch of Sullivans Cove Double Cask whisky is bottled at a variable ABV. By tailoring the ABV for each batch, the Distillery can choose a strength that brings out the best in the whisky. For DC30th, that was 47%. The bottling also comes with an alternate label and display box compared to the standard double cask – Possible investment grade whisky.
