Bottling Notes
For this special Projects release, The Gospel hand-selected a fresh 9-year-old tawny, fortified wine barrel from ‘Dutschke Wines’, a family operated Barossa winery. The cask was then filled with the Gospels rye whisky that had just finished maturing in 200L virgin American Oak barrels ranging from No.2 – No.4 char. The additional 4 months of mellowing in the fresh tawny barrel has resulted in a well-balanced whiskey that combines the spice of the rye with the rich sweetness of the tawny.
