The fourth cask strength instalment of Transportation Whiskey’s celebrated Band Series arrives in extraordinary fashion. The release brings together ex-bourbon casks and specially selected muscat casks. And the result is a cask strength union of real Irish/Australian excellence.

What’s in the Glass?
At natural cask strength, the flavours from the standard strength are amplified in perfect harmony. Expect a creamy, oily, full-textured spirit with length that just doesn’t quit. The mash bill and maturation have conspired to create something with serious body, depth, and real character.

Band Series #4 – The Bottle Itself
The band connection: The Dropkick Murphys are a Boston-based Celtic punk band. A fitting pairing given the Irish heritage of both the whiskey style and the band’s sound. It’s a clever thematic crossover.

What is Single Pot Still Whiskey?
Single pot still is a distinctly Irish style of whiskey with a strict legal definition. To carry the name, it must be:

• Distilled at a single distillery in a pot still
• Made from a mash bill of at least 30% malted barley
• Made from at least 30% unmalted (raw) barley
• With a maximum of 30% other grains

This grain combination gives single pot still whiskeys their signature oily texture and spicy backbone. Characteristics you’ll find in abundance in the Dropkick Murphy release.
