Description:
Our mate from sunny Queensland, Wes Marks is back with a bang, producing more delicious, small-batch, single malt whisky for his ‘Elevation’ series. Wes is now up to Batch #4 (time certainly flies) that was aged exclusively in an ex-shiraz cask. It’s a big, juicy single malt from start to finish with intense flavours and balance between cask and spirit.

This spirit draws its name from the high elevation of the distillery at 2850ft above sea level, in a valley cradling the western edge of the Great Dividing Range in Far North Queensland. It’s the unique cold-climate experienced at Wild River that is perfect for producing quality whiskies. Malted barley is smoked with Australian red gum and then slowly fermented with the distillery’s unique blend of yeast creating the signature flavours that are the back-bone of this spirit.
