This 2015 “The Peated” 4-year-old is the 3rd release of Chichibu’s peated expressions from Ichiro Akuto at the Chichibu Distillery. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2015, it’s a long sold out peated whisky that has been left for an extra year to mature compared to its predecessor. The strongest yet at a cask strength of 62.5% alc, it packs a real punch with big, bold notes of smoke, spice and vanilla.

Yet another unique and complex whisky from the progressive mind of Ichiro Akuto – This distillery is fast becoming one of our favourites here at The Old Barrelhouse. Only 5980 bottles were released.
