NOSE: Toasted oak drizzled with maple syrup and dark chocolate sauce.
PALATE: Big and bold. Coffee and chilli chocolate with hints of orange peel and distant smoke.
FINISH: Long and dry with more oak and spice.
In February 2011, Taketsuru 21yo was named “World Best Blended Malt Whisky” at the World Whiskies Awards for the fourth time in five years which is a fitting crown for this blend of Malts from the 2 Nikka distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo.
