Description
What a sensational whisky this is. A softly peated Ardnamurchan that was matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks. Twenty-five casks were employed for this expression consisting of 15 hogsheads of unpeated highland spirit and 10 sherry butts of peated Highland spirit. The result is a marriage of two parts: Coastal, peaty notes come to the fore before a late rush of sherry goodness enters the tasting profile, resulting in a beautifully balanced dram that will not disappoint.

About Ardnamurchan distillery
Ardnamurchan distillery was built and is owned by Adelphi, an independent bottling company and is considered one of the remotest distilleries in Scotland.
With a keen eye on sustainability, the distillery is powered by renewable energy to reduce their carbon footprint via hydro-electric power and a large bio-mass boiler using timber from the nearby Ardnamurchan forest. The boiler provides heat to the distillery floor maltings and the distillery and the whisky is created using water from springs above the distillery drawing from the Glenmore River.
