Cuvee 407 is a 21-year-old single malt whisky that was initially matured in American oak bourbon casks before spending a finishing period in Pedro Ximenez Jerez butts. It’s simply named PX and is subtitled ‘La Noche Bocca Arriba’, which is the third part of a short story by Julio Cortázar, an Argentine novelist.
This Bruichladdich Cuvee 407 is an indulgent, licentious whisky, a whisky for when the air is redolent of old leather, Cuban tobacco and cedarwood. A whisky to lose oneself in – an indulgent dream of a dram.
