Bottling Notes
The Syndicate was a group of gentlemen who selected premium casks and then had them bottled by their friends from the independent bottler Murray McDavid whom where related to Bruichladdich until it was sold in 2013 to the whisky broker Aceo Ltd. The Syndicate’s bottlings are well respected and widely considered to be of very high quality.
The Caol Ila 1990 the Syndicate’s 20yo whisky is a perfect example of superior character. This particular bottling was distilled in 1990 and bottled at the Bruichladdich bottling hall in 2010 from Cask No. 8732.The Syndicate bottlings offer simple labels, (much like the Lagavulin versions) and contain some of the rarest whisky from their chosen distillery.
