Producer’s tasting Notes
Nose: Distinctly malty initially with fresh aromas of a woodland hedgerow, delicate Sherry notes linger and weave with rich indulgent toffee, sweet liquorice, and orange marmalade.
Taste: Reminiscent of a black forest cake: the initial sweetness develops into fruity blackcurrant jam, maraschino cherry, and creamy vanilla. Freshly peeled orange notes add a fresh lift.
Finish: Well rounded: hints of candied citrus fruits and oak complement the lingering malty edge.

Bottling Notes
A 15-year-old single malt from Mortlach, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. It was matured in first fill & refill Sherry casks for 15 years before being bottled in 2019 as part of the refreshed Distillery Labels ranges, featuring the old school, retro-styled label from days gone by.
The history of this ‘Distillery Labels’ range heralds back to G&M’s very beginnings and the strong working relationships they had with distillery owners. G&M would bottle and sell the spirit the distilleries created as single malt on the condition that G&M used their ‘house’ label with the caption “bottled by Gordon & MacPhail”. These relationships have culminated in today’s ‘Distillery Labels’ – a showcase of historical/retro label design.
