Producer’s tasting Notes
Nose:Sweet and fruity; rich vanilla aromas swirl around tangy cooked apples. Touches of ripe tropical fruits – banana, pineapple, and kiwi – weaved with honeycomb notes.
Taste: Creamy with intense pressed green apple flavours balanced by bursts of pink grapefruit. A gentle warming pepper begins to develop with undertones of chocolate and oak.
Finish: Lingering hints of elegant dark chocolate lifted by dry bracken and gorse.

Bottling Notes
A 13-year-old Gordon & MacPhail bottling of Scapa single malt whisky from Orkney which forms part of G&M’s refreshed ‘Distillery Labels’ collection. It was distilled in 2005 and laid to rest in first-fill bourbon barrels until 2018. Scapa is one hell of an elusive whisky Down Under and this IB is a tropical dream, packed full of fresh fruits, vanilla and candied zest.
The history of this ‘Distillery Labels’ range heralds back to G&M’s very beginnings and the strong working relationships they had with distillery owners. G&M would bottle and sell the spirit the distilleries created as single malt on the condition that G&M used their ‘house’ label with the caption “bottled by Gordon & MacPhail”. These relationships have culminated in today’s ‘Distillery Labels’ – a showcase of historical/retro label design.
