The Springbank distillery have departed from their standard barrel management for this 12-year-old cask strength drawing the whisky from a combination of 50% sherry casks and 50% bourbon casks, as opposed to their standard 70% sherry and 30% bourbon combo.

The distillery calls it: “a wonderfully balanced dram that boasts a smooth buttery body and rich fruity palate”

These Springbank releases are revered by collectors and whisky enthusiast around the world, and with a smaller allocation given to Australia than previous years, they never last long on any retail shelves.
